Meet Your Crew:
MALLORY AND JARRYD
Meet Jarryd and Mallory, husband and wife duo, Alaska born and raised, and the crew behind your day on the water. We met commercial fishing on the FV Kahuna in Homer, Alaska, and after three seasons together, it only made sense to keep chasing a life on the water—now in a way we get to share with you.
Jarryd is a nurse and lifelong fly fisherman, and Mallory is a travel agent and Divemaster. We’re both U.S. Coast Guard OUPV (6-pack) licensed captains and dive certified, with safety and experience at the core of everything we do. We’ve spent years exploring Prince William Sound, dialing things in aboard our current vessel, Sea Goat, a 26’ Raider with a 350hp Yamaha outboard.
The past five years in particular have been focused on getting to know this place inside and out, from seeing porpoises on the way out to our favorite beaches on Naked Island, to skiing in Culross Pass and other hidden gems. The Port Nellie Juan views never get old and often orcas and black bears show up for us in those pristine coves. Montague Island is hunting and hiking heaven. We’re pretty obsessed with Alaska and we know how special it is. Our goal is to share it in a way that feels personal and real: off-the-beaten-path, guided by locals, and rooted in safety and respect for the environment.
Come hang out with us, we’d love to show you around!
History of the Sea Goat
The Sea Goat - we don’t take the name lightly. Bilbo & Kiwi are our two goats and the reason behind it all. They’ll headbutt each other anywhere and steal your beers, but are as sweet and loyal as it gets.
They’ve spent their summers cruising with us in Seward, Homer, and Prince William Sound, making people smile in every harbor. At this point, they’re basically seasoned mariners… minus the potty training.
“Whatever Floats your Goat” started with them and now it’s what we’re all about!
